Understandably, committing to a week where you put yourself first can seem a little intimidating, where you shut your laptop, throw yourself into new workouts and adventure across the world. But, we’re here at WanderFit to tell YOU, that now is the time.

When we originally launched WanderFit 4 years ago, one of our main driving pillars was always fitness, and as a couple who has travelled the world training in gyms globally, we knew we wanted to bring our community to these secret spots to get their sweat on.

So, without further ado, let us tell you why you should be booking a fitness retreat in 2023.


First up, it goes without saying, our community is one of the biggest factors for us. Over the past few years we have been growing our WanderFit community across the globe and it continues to expand every week, month and year.

If you’re a solo traveller it can feel a little intimidating to book a trip alone, but we can assure you that once you arrive there is no better feeling than meeting a group of like-minded individuals who are all there for the exact same reason.

& what would that be?

To train, adventure and meet other humans who want to explore the world whilst keeping fit.

Additionally, not only do you become part of a family for a week, you end up making friendships that last a lifetime. We’ve had so many of our WanderFit Fam revisit and join us on multiple trips AND adventure across the world to meet the people they met on a retreat for their own holidays.

It is epic.


Listen, we’ve all been there, struggling to keep up the fitness momentum when you start travelling abroad, finding the right gyms to train at, not enjoying the classes or finding yourself on the sauce a little too much.

That’s all totally normal, and it’s nothing to beat yourself up over. However, we believe and know from first-hand experience that feeling fit and healthy whilst exploring a new country feels 10x better than doing nothing at all.

This is why booking a fitness retreat gives you the best of both worlds! You can eat the gelato, sip on the Aperol Spritz’s and still get up, put your big girl or boy pants on and throw yourself into a sweaty workout.

The best thing about fitness retreats, especially with us, is that you get to adventure, explore and do SO many other activities other than just working out.

For example, in Bali you will climb Mount Batur, an active volcano, you’ll white water raft, you’ll explore temples, hit beach clubs, snorkel with Manta Rays and still get a sweat on.

In Costa Rica you’ll hike, surf, swim under waterfalls, zip line AND work out.

In Portugal, you’ll Paraglide, mountain bike, explore cities, eat too many Pastel De Natas AND workout.
